Evolutio is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) who is motivated to learn the technology industry and join a growing sales and marketing organization. Information Technology experience is not required. We will teach you what you need to know.

The ideal BDR candidate at Evolutio is competitive, smart, and goal-oriented. You are fascinated by technology and how businesses use IT infrastructure to help them run day-to-day and scale their organizations into the future. The Evolutio BDR will be responsible for generating new opportunities, and also for driving attendance to webinars/ user groups/ workshops/ booth-type marketing events.

By following-up on marketing campaigns and collaborating with the sales team you'll contribute to building pipeline, which is the lifeblood of both Evolutio and our customers' success.

Your outbound channels: phone, email, LinkedIn, direct mail (for example, we just did a virtual whiskey tasting event by mailing samplers to our participants), and other places that IT buyers spend their time.

Your BDR technology stack: Salesforce CRM, an email sequencer (such as Outreach or Reply.io), a data tool (like ZoomInfo, LeadIQ, or Lusha), and Cisco WebEx.

Responsibilities include:

  • Team up with the Director of Marketing and your assigned Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to work as an integral part of an Account Based Marketing approach to expand existing customers and grow new with marketing campaign follow up and outbound prospecting.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate Evolutio's company message, plus the story of our (4) practice areas, which include Observability, Automation, Security, and Data Science.
  • Use your BDR tools to create meaningful conversations with prospects via phone, email, LinkedIn, LinkedIn Mail, direct mail, and other relevant communication channels to IT buyers to meet and exceed pipeline goals.
  • Log all activity in Salesforce CRM and understand how you're pacing to goal.
  • Manage inbound inquiries and lead management as well as outbound prospecting to fill the pipeline with well qualified sales opportunities.
  • Conduct high level conversations with mid- and senior-level executives in the IT Infrastructure and IT Operations space, explaining the value proposition of Evolutio's methodology.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Four year university/ college degree;
  • Passion to learn Information Technology like cloud, DevOps, Data Science, enterprise applications, data center, cybersecurity, and CIO/ CTO/ CISO-level needs;
  • Outstanding communicator (written and verbal) and listener;
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive environment while maintaining a high attention to detail;
  • Log activity and your sales work in Salesforce CRM daily;
  • Have 5 conversations per day with the right buyer personas; and
  • Book 5-7 weekly meetings and/or webinar/ event RSVPs in partnership with marketing and your RSMs.

Preferred skills and experience

  • Preferred if you have any experience using CRM (Salesforce), Marketing Automation (HubSpot), Lead Intelligence tools (ZoomInfo, Lusha, LeadIQ), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Sequence tools (Outreach, Salesloft, Reply.io), or intent data (6sense);
  • Have worked as a BDR/ SDR/ XDR in the past a major plus;
  • Have worked in the Information Technology industry a major plus (either at an MSP, VAR, Solution Provider, Distributor, OEM Original Equipment Manufacturer); and
  • Ability to internalize enterprise information technology concepts and communicate them.
